Gudkov: Foreign-Backed Terrorist Groups in Syria Must Be Held Accountable

MOSCOW, (SANA)- Deputy Head of the Russian State Duma Security Committee Gennady Gudkov said the terrorist acts committed by foreign-backed armed groups in Syria can not be justified under any pretext, calling for holding the perpetrators accountable for their acts.

In a statement to SANA's correspondent in Moscow, Gudkov criticized the US and the NATO's attempts at escalating the situation and repeating the Libyan scenario in Syria, stressing it is important that the Syrian people solve their internal issues by themselves without any foreign interference.
